ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and TidyWallet ("TidyWallet," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the TidyWallet mobile app for iOS and Android (the "App"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
LICENSE TO USE THE APP
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law.
YOUR ACCOUNT AND HOUSEHOLD SHARING
Cloud features require an account. TidyWallet uses anonymous authentication, and household members establish their identity with an email and password. A household may include up to 2 people sharing one dataset. The owner invites the second person by email; either person can leave the household. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping any credentials secure.
SUBSCRIPTIONS, FREE TRIAL, AND BILLING
TidyWallet Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription on a monthly or annual basis. A 7-day free trial precedes your first charge.
Free trial: During the trial you can use Pro features. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription automatically converts to a paid, auto-renewing subscription and you will be charged the applicable price.
Auto-renewal: Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your account will be charged for renewal within the 24-hour period before the current period ends.
Billing through the app stores: Subscriptions are sold and processed by the Apple App Store and Google Play through RevenueCat. Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account. We never receive or store your card or payment details.
Managing and canceling: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Pro access until then.
Price changes: We may change subscription prices. Where required, we will give you advance notice through the App or the app store, and price changes apply to subsequent billing periods. Continued use after a price change takes effect means you accept the new price.
Refunds: Except where required by the applicable app store's policies or by law, payments are non-refundable, and partial periods are not refundable. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
ACCEPTABLE USE
You agree not to: use the App for any unlawful purpose; interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers; attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or to our systems; upload malware or attempt to probe, scan, or breach security; or use the App to infringe the rights of others. We may suspend or terminate access for violations.
FINANCIAL INSIGHTS ARE NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE
The App's AI Insights and any budgeting calculations, summaries, or suggestions are provided for informational and educational purposes only. They are generated from aggregated figures and are NOT financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. We are not a financial advisor, broker, or fiduciary. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions, and you should consult a qualified professional before acting. The App may contain inaccuracies, and AI-generated content can be incomplete or wrong.
DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT DATA WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE OR SYNCED WITHOUT LOSS. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING YOUR OWN BACKUPS. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TIDYWALLET AND ITS SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR FINANCIAL LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The App relies on third-party services, including Supabase (backend and authentication), Anthropic (AI insights), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Apple and Google (payments and distribution). Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
TERMINATION AND ACCOUNT DELETION
You may stop using the App at any time and may delete your account from within the App, which permanently removes the account and all associated cloud data. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the App or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will survive.
GOVERNING LAW

We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are material, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use of the App after the changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
